about 'woven together' - after hosting free workshops for the last 3 years in chicago and beyond, this offering naturally evolved into the 'woven together' series. i wanted to share a collective space with makers, creative minds, and folks that are interested in crafting together. in addition, i find it key to offer this as a free workshop to my community ~ as a gift to others through the collective memory of hands and craft practices igbo women have and continue to steward.

RE·VER·BER·ATE Festival - Soundful Basket Weaving Workshop
I hosted a workshop on April 23rd at the RE·VER·BER·ATE Festival, teaching 60 K-8 students basket weaving. “The Soundful Basket Weaving Workshop invites teens of all skill levels to learn basket weaving techniques to craft a collective basket sculpture with soundful elements to make improvisational music! This workshop is facilitated by ebere agwuncha, a transdisciplinary artist from Chicago that works through a contemporary craft practice.“ My workshop was hosted by CAPE (Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education) for RE·VER·BER·ATE.
